Gyedu-Blay Ambolley is a Ghanaian highlife musician, songwriter, producer, composer and the creator the musical genre, Simigwa which is a Ghanaian fusion of afro funk, soul and jazz. Gyedu-Blay Ambolley’s is often referred to as the godfather of hiplife, which is a fusion of hip hop and highlife. Gyedu-Blay Ambolley is also known as the ‘James Brown of Ghana’. Ambolley is a living legend and his songs have been sampled by new generations of African and international musicians.
He is now on another round of European tour with his Sekondi Band. Gyedu-Blay Ambolley live in Belgium.
