The Sustainable Technology for Africa (#Sustech4Africa) call for projects is an initiative of Entrepreneurs for Entrepreneurs, VITO nv, The Food Bridge’s African Diaspora Projects Initiative, Thomas More University and support from several other partners.

This call for projects is open to African Diasporas resident in Europe and applications are accepted from all sectors. However you need to state clearly how your project fits the theme “Sustainable Technologies for Africa”. Entries can be sent in French, English or Dutch. Note that the boostcamp and coaching sessions will be in English.

With your project submitted, your project formally enters the selection procedure and may proceed up to the finals of the competition. How does that work?
07th of February 2020 – FIRST SELECTION OF SUBMITTED PROJECTS:
The selection procedure will go as follows. The project will be reviewed based on the material received and scored by a multidisciplinary and independent jury. Projects will be ranked and 20 teams will be invited to pitch their project live on the 14th of February and provide us with other additional information. Based on this, we will make a shortlist of 12 projects that will be invited to join the Boost Camp.
14th of February 2020 – LIVE PITCH FOR FINAL SELECTION @ OVO Office, Leuven
21st of February 2020 – DEADLINE TO PAY YOUR PARTICIPATION FEE
If you decline to make the payment by the 21st of February, your project will be rejected and we will select one of the runners-up to take your place.
24th and 25th of February 2020 – Boostcamp @ Thomas More University Mechelen Campus
3rd,10th and 17th March 2020 – Coaching sessions
19th of March 2020 – LIVE PITCH at the final event
