Alloco with tilapia is a dish that is common in Cote d’Ivoire. It is easy to make and it is very delicious. Alloco is a fried plantain recipe.
Ingredients:
1 tilapia
2 plantains
1 onion (chopped)
1 sweet red pepper (chopped)
1 tomato (chopped)
10 g crayfish powder
10 g chilli powder
20 ml olive oil
1 bouillon cube
1/2 lemon juice
Cooking oil
Seasoning of choice
Preparing the tilapia:
Add the chopped onion, sweet red pepper, tomato into a small bowl. Add crayfish powder, chilli powder and the bouillon. Mix together and add the olive oil. Add some seasoning of your choice and mix everything together. Squeeze the lemon juice in and mix again.
Cut the tilapia on both sides in 3 places. Fill in the mix. Grill the fish in a 200 degrees preheated oven (Ca. 30 minutes)
Alloco:
Slice the plantain into small blocks. Add salt to taste. Fry in a pan till golden bruin.
