More about..
Lamisi has worked with the Accra-based Patch Bay Band, and with artists like Becca, Atongo Zimba, and Afro Moses to mention a few.
Her next album “Let Us Clap” is a traditional futuristic body of work co-conceived by award-winning producer and artist Wanlov the Kubolor, responsible for the album “Kologo” by the Alostmen.
To imagine the music Lamisi performs from her yet-to-be released project “Let Us Clap” , think Daft Punk lead vocals, Fatoumata Diawara melodies, and authentic West African village music.
Lamisi’s quartet have played at venues like Jamestown Boutique and Abajo in Accra, as well as the Kwaku Festival in Amsterdam.
The music and performance is designed to take you into a bold happy future with ancient fresh energies.
