Hij heeft een warme\, funky stem\, maar eveneens sober en intiem. De blues van Bai Kamara Jr. is een mix van afroblues\, roots\, soul en jazzinvloeden. Hij is een geëngageerde singer-songwriter die in zijn muziek zijn Afrikaanse afkomst verraadt. Hij deelde het podium met internationale artiesten als Habib Koité\, Cassandra Wilson\, Rokia Traoré\, Vanessa Paradis\, zong in duo met Dani Klein van Vaya Con Dios en werkte samen met Youssou N’Dour. \nMet zijn zojuist verschenen nieuwe plaat Travellin Medicine Man onder de arm komt Bai Kamara jr. solo naar Valkenburg voor een intieme maar niet minder intense show.
