SUMMARY:Expo Opening Joel Biza - kunstschilder uit Zuid-Afrika
DESCRIPTION:In 2020\, vlak voor de coronapandemie\, hebben wij\, Bert & Marie Nijland\, in Zuid-Afrika Joel Biza leren kennen op een kunstenaarsmarktje in Franschhoek. Na onze terugkeer in Nederland\, tijdens de coronapandemie\, bleven wij in contact met Joel. In deze periode lag het toerisme in Zuid-Afrika stil\, wat ook de inkomsten van Joel aanzienlijk verminderde. Wij besloten Joels kunst vanuit Giethoorn te verkopen om zo Joel en zijn familie te helpen deze moeilijke tijd door te komen. Dit initiatief is in de loop van de tijd gegroeid. Inmiddels hebben we een kleine kunstgalerie in Giethoorn\, waar uitsluitend het werk van Joel wordt geëxposeerd. De opbrengsten van de verkopen gaan rechtstreeks naar Joel. \nDat het werk van Joel bijzonder is\, blijkt wel uit het feit dat Lia Gurowitsch\, kunstcoördinator van het Kulturhus\, ons heeft gevraagd of zij een expositie mocht organiseren met zijn werken. Ook is in de verschillende media al de nodige aandacht voor de kunst van Joel geweest. Zowel in kranten als op televisie. \nU bent van harte uitgenodigd voor de opening van deze expositie op zondag 6 juli 2025\, van 16.00 tot 18.00 uur. De tentoonstelling wordt geopend door de wethouder van Kunst en Cultuur van de gemeente Steenwijkerland\, mevrouw Trijn Jongman. \nBert & Marie Nijland – Kunstgalerie Afrika
