Tickets bought for the original date are valid for this date. \n—- \nDe ‘James Brown van Ghana’\, zo wordt Gyedu-Blay Ambolley ook wel genoemd. Met zijn volvette afrofunk geluid\, dat hij simigwa-do noemde\, brak hij in 1973 door in de Ghanese muziekscene. Zijn funky\, jazzy en soulvolle benadering van highlife sloeg in als een bom. In de zestiger jaren speelde hij in de Uhuru Dance Band\, en leerde onder meer van Ebo Taylor. Met Taylor richtte hij in 1974 The Apagya Show Band op. Inmiddels zijn we ruim 40 jaar en 30 albums verder en is Ambolley een levende legende. Niet voor niets duikt zijn muziek op op veel hippe re-issues\, van iets obscuurder als Afrodisiac tot labels als Soundway en Analog Africa. Begin 2019 deed hij met zijn eerste Europese tour al Paradiso Noord aan\, nu is hij met zijn Sekondi Band terug voor weer een avond vol groovy afrofunk en highlife. \nMeer informatie en tickets: www.paradiso.nl

The stage name Kadogo 1er\, is a name given to him by a friend of his father when he was young. In Swahili\, Kadogo means small and 1er means small but the best. Kadogo 1er sings in Lingala\, one of the languages ​​of Congo\, and Swahili\, which is also spoken in Congo.
