DESCRIPTION:Een dynamische en constante dialoog tussen drie culturen en vier grote muzikanten. Casamance\, Mexico en Catalonië smelten samen in een zee van transcontinentale klanken en ritmes die elke seconde verrassen.\nNio’ betekent ‘ziel’ in het Mandinka\, de moedertaal van de jonge Senegalese muzikant\, zanger en liedjesschrijver Momi Maiga. Via zijn composities vertelt hij ons het verhaal van de reis die ieder mens op aarde maakt\, vanaf zijn geboorte tot het moment van vertrek. \nSamen met de Catalaanse percussionist Aleix Tobias Sabater\, de uitbundige Maçal Ayats op cello en de nauwgezette Mexicaanse violist Carlos Monfort\, drie van de meest getalenteerde musici die in Catalonië leven\, wordt de voorstelling ‘Nio’ magie voor alle zintuigen. \nMomi’s opgegraven stem danst tussen de tweeëntwintig snaren van de Kora. Ze wordt begeleid door de veelzijdigheid en het majestueuze geluid van de cello van Marçal\, de delicate en bijna transparante klanken van Aleix Tobias en de veelzijdige klanken van de viool van Carlos Monfort. \nFusion is het hoofdingrediënt van deze opwindende\, energieke en diepe show. \nDe ziel van de show komt tot leven door de aanwezigheid van de vier muzikanten samen op het podium die het publiek in een oogwenk veroveren. \nDeze show is een coproductie van Momi Maiga met La Marfà – Musical Creation Center\, Fira Mediterrània de Manresa en de gemeente Olot. \nLINE UP \nMomi MAIGA: stem en kora\nAleix TOBIAS: drums\, percussies en achtergrondzang\nCarlos MONFORT: viool en achtergrondzang\nMarçal AYATS: cello en achtergrondzang
