DESCRIPTION:This concert is presented by Paradiso Amsterdam & Super-Sonic Jazz \nThe Rotterdam trumpeter Peter Somuah grew up with the music of Miles Davis and Roy Hargrove. You can hear this in his unique and innovative sound; Somuah stands out for his trumpet’s warm and melancholy sound. He explores the boundaries between jazz\, funk and traditional Ghanaian music in his compositions\, mixed with a slight touch of electronics. In 2021 Somuah won the Erasmus Jazz Prize for young jazz talent\, and in 2022 he won the prestigious Edison Jazz Prize with his debut album ‘Outer Space’.
